Masons do not solicit membership. You must ask for a petition for membership from a current mason. You probably know several Freemasons. Perhaps you have seen the Square and Compasses on a ring, pin or bumper sticker. If you know where the Masonic Lodge is in your community, stop by or look up their phone number and contact them, you can also E-mail the Grand Lodge.
You should be prepared to commit one or two nights a month to attending your Lodge. You should be prepared to pay the annual dues. You should be motivated primarily by an interest in fellowship.
Masonry is not a service organization. That being said, the focus of many P.H. Grand Lodges is youth in the community. Thus you will find Lodges sponsoring students via bursaries or scholarships.
